Jealous?

Me too! Jason got to hold Nate today for an hour and a half! He was such a good baby and tolerated it well.

I did get a little bit ticked when Jason complained while holding him that he was hot, or that he needed a drink, or his back hurt. I reminded him that he was holding the baby and some of us haven't gotten to hold him yet even though we carried him for 7 months in the womb and had a 6 inch cut glued shut on our belly that feels like fire when anything touches it and we can't stand up all the way without wondering if we're going to split open.... so, he was grateful.
We also had to get a picture of Nate with his stuffed animal that is way bigger than him so that we have something to compare him to in size. (I'm just realizing as I'm typing this that that is what rulers are for, so it kind of doesn't make sense.)
Anyhow, aren't they cute? Even if Jason does look like he has a porn-stache.

Tomorrow I'm calling dibs.

*UPDATE* I did get to hold one of my babies! On Sunday I got to hold Reese for a blissful hour, and give him lots of kisses! Almost 3 weeks after they're born, I'm getting to give them love - more than "petting" them through the holes in the "fishbowl." We do have a picture, but I can't find it, so- when I do, I'll post it.

Recommendations Requested.

I have a little problem. It's called a mole.
Well, it's not so much the mole, it's that Oakley is infatuated with it. It's on my shoulder, and every chance he gets, Oak is searching for it.

It's not that he searches for it that's the problem either. It's the fact that he's named it that really bothers me.

It's name is Josh. I don't know why, or where that came from. One day he was standing behind me while I was sitting on the couch and said, "Josh" as he pushed on my mole. Now, any chance he gets, he's searching for it, says, "Hi, Josh," "Bye, Josh," and talks about Josh.

It's gotta stop. Josh has got to go.

So, here's my question:

Can a regular doctor take off moles or does it have to be a dermatologist? I had a couple of moles (yes, just call me Tortilla) taken off 10-ish years ago and the doctor was very thorough, but left Frankenstien-like scars. Not that anyone is looking at my shoulder or anything, but I would just prefer not to have big-old scars.

Thanks for your input.

Ta-Da!

Reesetiny hands
hanging out
(his tongue is always hanging out, it's hilarious)

Nate
size in comparison to Jason's hand
He sleeps like Jason and Oakley, with his arms up over his head.
He keeps his tongue in his mouth, but he drools like crazy.

We're doing well. Nate is loving life. He's healthy and tiny. Reese has some vascular problems which have led to a blood clot in his leg and hole in his bowels, and is keeping us busy. We have been blessed with the BEST neo-natologists, Dr. Waterkotte and Dr. Hamburg, I think they are amazing!

C-sections are the way to go, as well as shower chairs, Rasin Bran and Percocet. Thanks everyone for your calls, emails and concern. Unfortunately, it will be a while before anyone's allowed to see the babies in the NICU - thanks to RSV season. Sorry.

Just wanted to share these guys with you.

Love,
Sara

BABIES!!!

The babies are here!
...
Baby A: Reese Melvin,
weighing 2 pounds, 7 ounces
...
Baby B: Nate Jeffrey,
weighing 2 pounds, 2 ounces
...
Honestly, they are the tiniest and most precious things we've ever seen! Sara will be in the hospital for a few more days, but of course, is accepting congrats in the form of chimichangas. :) She will update with more details when she gets home and rested.
In the meantime, let's keep these tiny babies in our prayers so that they can grow to be big strong boys! Thanks!
Love,
Melissa
