Holla!(ster)

So, I'm old. Yesterday I went to the mall and decided to go into Hollister, because I had lots of time to kill. I finally made it in with the stroller and all, and some kid that worked there said, "chiusdggjflasd lkdfjas lkfajk djkaf" thumbs up on the last part. I said, "What?" and moved closer.
"cheoing oseoirs o ivlkj djajgds" again thumbs up.
Again I said, "What?" He kind of sighed and said again with a smile and thumbs up, "cheoi soaifi fajffj slkdjfka ladjkf."
I said, "yeah," then he replied, pointing, "it's the braces, I think I mumble."
I thought, no, it's me, I'm old, pre-occupied trying to swerve my son out of arms reach of anything, and can't hear, let alone think, over the BLARING music. Yes, I'm old. That's all, oh, but I did realize later, you guys might want to hit Hollister, and "check out their summer shorts, they're great." (Thumbs up.)

Shooby dooby doop doop doop, Ahhh....

So, does everybody laugh when they see any few seconds of The Bachelor: Officer and Gentleman, and they say, "could Andy be her Officer and Gentleman?" It makes me laugh and slightly snort every time, and since when was it nice to have an "officer" as a husband? What can that bring to the marriage? Will he yell at me to try to motivate me? I don't do well with yelling motivation. Just ask Jake when I went running with him ONE time..... (pulling my arm) "KEEP RUNNING!!" "NOOOO" (whiny as I'm trying to lay down and we were just to Toltec) Would he require that I call him officer when I wanted to talk to him and if I didn't he'd ignore me until I addressed him correctly? Please! (or should it be At-ease!) I'm so not a hopeless romantic anymore. Ha Ha... Officer and Gentleman...Ha.

Also, yesterday, I saw a man who looked like this:

driving this:and his license plate said "t2bular." Since the "t" isn't really necessary, I'm thinking of getting it for my personalized license plate and just doing "2bular." So, if you see me out there, Honk!

Random Sampler

Yes, I know it's plagiarism, but that's the title of this post. I'm just a bit chatty and poor Jason is so sad and not in the mood for small talk on a very sad and depressing day like today, after the Suns shenanigans. I agree, not fair, Mr. Commissioner of the NBA! None the less, I'm chatty.

Kevin and Nicole, where are you guys? No comments to anyone for like a week and no phone calls? I'm worried, and I would call, but now I'd be waking you up.

So, this afternoon after work, I picked up Mr. Oakley and we had a little fun. We went to Midwestern Meats to get some stuff for dinner. I think I want the little man to work there when he's like in high-school, they have such great stuff and smell clean like bleach, all the time, no matter what. I also feel so housekeeperish going there because they know me and wrap my meat in paper. I might wear my apron next time I go. Anyhow, Roger gave Oakley his first piece of beef jerky, and he loved it. Yay to the carnivore.

After Midwestern, we went to Superstition Ranch Market, and got a watermelon, three pints of strawberries, and a pineapple for $4.60. The old people all died when Oakley waved to them. Well, not really died, I guess that slang shouldn't be used while referencing old people.

When we got home, we took the bikes for a ride as the Palmer family (Carissa lapped us 6 times - but that's a different story,) and ended it with a jump over the ramp. I made dinner, put Oakley to bed, laid on Jason's lap while he watched a game, then remembered *crap* fruit in the car. I went and got it out and the car now smells like poop. So, I cut it all up and put it in bags. I got pineapple juice in my hang nail....still....beating....ow...and got done with the strawberries and couldn't part with the little green baskets. I can't think of anything good to do with them though, lots of okay things to do with them, but no good things, any ideas?

Anyhow, then I cleaned out the fridge and did dishes, and went to take out the trash, but it was too heavy. I wished it had wheels. I didn't want to risk tearing holes in the bag (why didn't I splurge on the force flex) because I was lazy when cleaning out the fridge and didn't drain the bean or green olive juice before dumping. So, I had a fantastic idea. (This is an only Sara,) I hadn't used the dolly dad gave me for Christmas, but now I have, and it works great. I'm sure my neighbors, bless their hearts, were a bit freaked when I dollied my garbage out to the barrel on the curb, looked around for watchers, and then hoisted the bag into the bin and then checked for drippings on me. Probably looked a bit Klopekish if you know what I mean. I don't even want to think how bad it will smell when I roll the garbage back out to the curb, or every time I open it to add to the collection. Like death.

Anyhow, sorry its long and about nothing. Still wondering, does anyone know if my 10 month old can eat fish?

Smell ya!

PS. Oakley flosses, so to all you non-flossers, come on, don't let a baby do better than you!

Utar

Congrats to my genius brother, Chris, from graduating from law school at University of Utah this last weekend. He had his name in the program more than any other student for all of his accomplishments. Here he is with his cute wife Beth who is 6 months pregnant and looks fantastic!
We all wanted to get in on the picture moment so when he is a big wig, we can say we were there when it all started. Kirk and Jason were there too, but apparently camera shy.
Chris' friend Jon Baker's wife got us a screaming deal at the Grand America. It was by far, the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. Even nicer than the Four Seasons (although I did prefer the Four Seasons' pens.) Look at all the pretty chandelier:

and the real key that gets you into your room and the nearest stake center:
and the handmade chocolates that were left for my enjoyment (which I did so - the short one tasted like frosting!)
and the hot chocolate that I ordered for room service came on this cute tray in a tea pot with cups and saucers, napkins, and a rose in a vase! I was just expecting an off white mug with hot chocolate and whipped cream spray dripping over the side like Denny's.
Everything there was amazing, and I fully recommend this place!

We also went to Park City, the slides and zip lines were closed, so we just shopped for a new jock strap for Jason and apparently tried to take a bunch of ugly pictures (which we succeeded at,) and my parents joined us from a cruise.
Oh, I almost forgot. Look at this amazing rat tail!
Love ya cats!

Bigger Kid

So, last week, I decided it was time to put the big boy car seat in the car. It took a few minutes to put it in, so Oakley kept himself busy taking care of the plants. Unfortunately, he decided to take upon pest control as well. He was gagging-ish, so I swiped out his mouth, and out came an earwig. Gross huh? Well, then I got him all cleaned up, and we went to Safeway. He got to ride facing forward and he loved it! He laughed and squealed the whole way there! Look at him in his big boy chair with his big boy flip-flops!

Bueno Cinco de Mayo!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to say "hi!" Kev and Nic, how's the move going? Does your new apartment smell okay? Are you going to your new ward tomorrow? Carol Ann, I'm so proud of your work on your blog. Keep going. Nat, yes, you do need to Twilight, there's a reason everyone's talking about it/Edward. Mom says Parker's doing better. Did you know Parley P. Pratt's middle name is Parker? You probably did, I just read that. Miss and Philip. If you want to come watch the Suns game at our house tomorrow, you can since your tv is broken. Dad, have you hid the cat in the one place you told me about yet? I think it's your turn. Mom, Miss, Aly, and I are doing dinner tomorrow, tacos, chicken, fish and regular, could you be in charge of tortillas? Is Oakley allowed to eat fish? Dr. Leavitt said to introduce him to meat now, but I don't know if that includes fish. Chris and Beth, jump on the blog train! Love you all! Sara

Project Fridays

Whenever I'm looking for a picture in my computer, I see this one and it makes me laugh every time. Ugh, apples. Look how good we are at stacking them, lots of practice with dishes, huh? Sorry we trashed your house Aly. There is just so much crap everywhere. In this picture, can you find: Oakley, formula, two knives, three peelers, a barbie camera, the worm (eewwwww!) 17 apples, diaper bag, and the table?

Happy Helper

So, here's Oakley trying to help. He "helps" a lot. Do you see the determination in his eyes / brows? It's a bit worrysome to think what the future holds for us with him. It really isn't that mean to say, "You can help best by staying out of the way," is it? Oh, I remember helping mom sew by pushing the peddle for her when she said go. Wow, you were way, way too nice.

Heroes Hotties

Yes, I know that this will sound like a discussion from a junior high newspaper, (Dear _____,) but I'm just curious. You see, as I was reading Twilight (yes, I'm still bringing up this book) I imagined Edward looking like Peter Petrelli from Heroes. I know he doesn't have bronze hair, but everything else is totally him. He even has the crooked smile. So, he's my Edward. Then, we got into a discussion on Peter and Nathan Petrelli (it's their characters names, I don't know their real names.) Melissa and Dr. Heap say that they don't think that Peter is attractive at all, only Nathan. I agree that Nathan is attractive, but he's like obviously good looking, and I think Peter is cuter because he's the less traditional look, and has dark hair and dark eyes. Am I the only one? Btw, Peter is the one in the brown, Nathan is the one in the suit.

Thanks Dad

Hola familia, so I've realized more and more lately how much I am like Melvin. Shoot we're practically twins. So I thought I would make a list of things I have inherited from him, genitcally or just habitually, all from our favorite Melvie. Feel free to make your own list, it's actually really fun, or Aly, you can make a list of what you got from Mom, that would include her cute ankles, jerk.

His pepsi addiction, his hotdog eyes, his teeth and the way we grind them, his legs, his Jones booty, his lead foot aka need for speed aka driving record, his love of reading, his smarts (only sometimes for me), his love of driving, his procrastination, his love for Costco, his expensive taste, his dislike of talking on the phone, his hands, his criticism, his nerdy sense of humor, his wake up face - where people can tell if we've taken a nap in the past five hours, his deep sleeping, his love of afternoon naps, his non-enthusiasm for exercising (keep up the good work with the eliptical), his sensibility/realistic -ness, his love of music, his innie belly button - sorry that the rest of you got outies :), his work ethic - at least I think so, his love for ColdStone, um... I think that that's all I can think of right now. Anywho, Dad's awesome, maybe we should call him (guess what show?). But for reals, he's a champ. I love you cats! Have a great day!

Ha! Thanks Miss for doing all the work for me. So, what's conspicuiously different than Melissa's? I don't sweat and I'm not hairy. Ha Ha Ha! Also, I like full power pepsi and I was named after his grandma, not him, because I'm not half boy. Love you Miss.
