Random Sampler

Yes, I know it's plagiarism, but that's the title of this post. I'm just a bit chatty and poor Jason is so sad and not in the mood for small talk on a very sad and depressing day like today, after the Suns shenanigans. I agree, not fair, Mr. Commissioner of the NBA! None the less, I'm chatty.

Kevin and Nicole, where are you guys? No comments to anyone for like a week and no phone calls? I'm worried, and I would call, but now I'd be waking you up.

So, this afternoon after work, I picked up Mr. Oakley and we had a little fun. We went to Midwestern Meats to get some stuff for dinner. I think I want the little man to work there when he's like in high-school, they have such great stuff and smell clean like bleach, all the time, no matter what. I also feel so housekeeperish going there because they know me and wrap my meat in paper. I might wear my apron next time I go. Anyhow, Roger gave Oakley his first piece of beef jerky, and he loved it. Yay to the carnivore.

After Midwestern, we went to Superstition Ranch Market, and got a watermelon, three pints of strawberries, and a pineapple for $4.60. The old people all died when Oakley waved to them. Well, not really died, I guess that slang shouldn't be used while referencing old people.

When we got home, we took the bikes for a ride as the Palmer family (Carissa lapped us 6 times - but that's a different story,) and ended it with a jump over the ramp. I made dinner, put Oakley to bed, laid on Jason's lap while he watched a game, then remembered *crap* fruit in the car. I went and got it out and the car now smells like poop. So, I cut it all up and put it in bags. I got pineapple juice in my hang nail....still....beating....ow...and got done with the strawberries and couldn't part with the little green baskets. I can't think of anything good to do with them though, lots of okay things to do with them, but no good things, any ideas?

Anyhow, then I cleaned out the fridge and did dishes, and went to take out the trash, but it was too heavy. I wished it had wheels. I didn't want to risk tearing holes in the bag (why didn't I splurge on the force flex) because I was lazy when cleaning out the fridge and didn't drain the bean or green olive juice before dumping. So, I had a fantastic idea. (This is an only Sara,) I hadn't used the dolly dad gave me for Christmas, but now I have, and it works great. I'm sure my neighbors, bless their hearts, were a bit freaked when I dollied my garbage out to the barrel on the curb, looked around for watchers, and then hoisted the bag into the bin and then checked for drippings on me. Probably looked a bit Klopekish if you know what I mean. I don't even want to think how bad it will smell when I roll the garbage back out to the curb, or every time I open it to add to the collection. Like death.

Anyhow, sorry its long and about nothing. Still wondering, does anyone know if my 10 month old can eat fish?

Smell ya!

PS. Oakley flosses, so to all you non-flossers, come on, don't let a baby do better than you!

You're hillarious. About your fish question- it's a good one. And I don't have an answer. I would think its fine, but would obviously steer clear of shellfish or bottom-feeders in case he's allergic. You might want to ask a real doctor though. I have an idea, wait until the weekend and call the on-call doc and pretend its an emergency, then ask your fish question. I bet they would like that. Or maybe call 911- they are good at giving answers. TK! LOL! L8R!

I love that your baby is flossing!!! and I agree with the call on the suns. The NBA sucks. Too bad tonight I need to watch the finale of Top Model, the Suns game, Lost and I have mutual. I don't know how thats going to work. I think someone is Tivo-ing the Suns game because its going to be insane! So ya we are moving but not anywhere special. We're just moving around the corner (literally) in the same apartment complex and all. We love our ward and our callings and so we don't want to leave. And I'm going to girls camp with this stake so we can't leave right now. I wish we could by a house in this area but its val vista lakes and last time I checked we don't have half a million to a million dollars. So we are moving to another apartment...and maybe two of devin's friends are moving in with us. I'm sure this will be quite the subject of family gossip (wait who am I kidding? thats me pretending like people care enough to talk about us) but ya we're taking a leap and we're going to live with two of devin's friends for like 6-8 months? Things are still in the works, so we'll see how it goes and if I hate it I can only blame myself because we've already gotten quite our fair share of your crazy comments! haha but oh well it will be an adventure!

Oakley is so cute. He is already taking after his mom and learning to floss. Thats funny because I didnt know you had a picture of that, he still looks adorable even though the thought of him eating floss makes me gag a little. Me and Melissa miss you on Wednesdays!

Wow, Sar, how do you do it all? That much activity would have taken me all day, but you manage to do it in a couple of hours. I think part of the reason is that after one of our bike rides I, like Melvin, think I need to rest for about an hour as I sweat profusely. I loved your stories! I think that you and Hans could be related! Sara-is that Slovick?

I just realized that I didn't comment on this, probably because I was somewhat bitter at how adorable it is, and also because I see you for at least 8 hours a day, and then we talk on the phone at least once afterwards! I love that me and you and Aly are all such best friends! Anywho, about the baskets, I feel about the same; lots of okay ideas, no great ones. That's all! I'll talk to you later, as in, like 45 minutes from now when we go to moms!

ok so i did a search for you on the internet for what you can do with your strawberry baskets - here is what other people did...use them to cover seedlings in the garden so the cats dont get them, use them for your children's easter baskets, use them to store your cherry tomatoes in the fridge or you can keep all your floppy disks in them. with so many wonderful ideas i am sure you wont have time to blog for a while because you will be so busy making all these great things :)
