I've Created a Monster.
No, not the child, well yes, he is a monster and I created him, but that's now what I'm talking about.
Remember how cute Calvin and Hobbs were before Calvin turned all juvy and started pee-ing on things?
Welp, I though this was cute, but now it's a nightmare.
Oakley's dog, named Oakley's dog, is like a part of him. It goes everywhere with him... from room to room, to the store, to visit anyone, everywhere, he's always got him.
As long as he's around, Oakley's happy,
and will sleep, anywhere as long as the dog is with him.
If he can't have him or find him, watch out, he goes nuts! When he's in the wash, Oak stands in the laundry room and screams/tries to climb on the washer/open the dryer.
He even is stressed out if he can't see him when he's in the bathtub.
I get tired of looking for that darn dog.
Welp, I though this was cute, but now it's a nightmare.

Oakley is so cute with his dog. It's a good thing that he has something that makes him feel comfortable wherever he goes. Some of my kids had critters like that but they have all given them up I think. (Ask Alan if he still has his monkey)
Yikes! He is a big boy now!! When did that happen? Allie has a softie that is the same way. I think its cute though.. Now I must buy one of those industrial mop buckets. You are a smart woman!
Cute Kid!!!!!! Oakley is so cute!
I love that he has an MTC- mobile tactile comforter, and that he continues in his commitment with it. Good job!
If you want to ease him out of it you may want to explain to him that sometimes puppies get kennel cough, parvo, fleas, fast cars, etc. which make them go to doggie heaven. If this is too distressing, introduce another MTC to him, ma I suggest an itod? (I'll poke holes in a cardboard box (all part of the shipping and handling) right away in preparation for the order. I'm sure Jason can't wait for it to arrive.
wells Oakley is pretty much the cutest stressed out guy I've ever seen! He is getting so darn old!
Maybe I'm a really bad person but the picture of him at the laundry room door is kind of hilarious. I was hoping it was a video I could watch.
Yeah, we've been caught looking for special dogs or blankets outside with the flashlight at bedtime one too many times! But that's not as bad as Kirk's mom who had to take off her slip at church because they had forgotten one of the boy's silky blanket. Yikes!
okay! my heels look way worse than yours. SERIOUSLY. and did that thing you bought do THAT to your heels? cz if so, then i need one now & BAD! seriously, let me know!
Tori was attached to her "MIMI's" recieving blankets. I purposely since birth gave her a different on everytime. But it is cute/annoying when they are so attached to something.
Hey there! This is Becca(Boyles)Kern. I saw your blog on Crystal's. You are hysterical! What a sweet little boy you have. The dog is a reality you need to accept. My 4 year old has a lamb named "Baby" and it's still a permanent attatchment. We are on baby number 3 and I'll tell you now...find replacements now while you can. Transition from #1 to #2 was the hardest. I literally had to drag it thru the mud, drive over it, and wash it over and over and over before he excepted it. Then #3 I had to pay $25.00 for overnight shipping! He actually excepted that his baby had a really good bath which was why it was so fluffy and clean.
It was great reading your blog!
Later! Becca
