Yesterday we went to the hospital to pick up Reese. The nurse said he hadn't been doing very well so she didn't think he'd be going home. I had a little heart-to-heart with him and he decided that he would behave so he could be off hospital arrest and join in the fun at home.

Oakley does think that they are amazing. He loves to rub their hair and talk to them in a high voice saying, "Sweetheart, you're okay." Only on occasion has he flipped out saying, "Set him down!" Poor kid, he's adjusting as well as can be expected for a 2 1/2 year old.

They do look alike, Reese is just bigger and Nate is just yellower and is still on oxygen. Soon they'll be looking more like twins.
To be able to tell them apart, here are a few notable features of Reese, head to toe.
His adorable face. Oh wait, that's pretty much the same.

Reese has a bunch battle wounds.
Scar from T-E Fistula surgery.

He has a feeding button (it totally grosses/stresses Jason out... do you like my pj's?)

Herniated bellybutton (we're not showing because it's really gross and I don't want you to throw up on your computer,) a big scar from one surgery and a little scar from his first surgery.

And, he lost the tips of a few toes from a blood clot in his leg, but I'm sure he'll tell people its from frostbite he got while hiking Mt. Everest.

I can't wait for the day that they get in trouble at school and the teacher makes them take off their shirts or shoes to figure out who it is.
P.S. Sorry there's no pictures of the entire group together yet, it was my plan to have that be the very first thing we did when we got home. But, taking care of 2 sick babies has taken it's toll on me and I don't want to take a picture when I look like this:

"Tell them Large Marge sent ya, heh, heh, heh...."

Can I be on the Monday, Thursday, Saturday shift and come play with Oakley? Or I could actually take whatever one (or two...no lets stick with one) is being ornery at the moment and give you a little rest. Whatever way is fine, I'm just excited for you to finally feel like the mom of twins!
Oh, and I've decided that your first set of twins are Oakley's dogs, since they are seriously members of your family. You practically have a family of 7 already.
Sorry to comment twice, but I forgot to mention that your eyelashes are like four feet long. I'm jealous.
Your family is beautiful and such huge blessings. C Smith
yay!!! the whole family is home together - woo hoo :) oakley sure does look excited to have them. i am so happy for you guys!!
Hooray Palmers! All three of your boys are so handsome, I’m so glad you get to have everyone under one roof.
Oh, YEAH!!!!!!! Erin was so excited to hear about them yesterday!! How fun! And, we kept asking Oakley about them, too, but all we got was "ya". (Can I be SUPER nosy and suggest you not bring Oakley to nursery for February and maybe some into March? - it's just the VERY WORST MONTH for RSV and influenza. O.k., done being a nosy doctor's wife :) ) I'm SO HAPPY you're all home! I would love to help spell you off if you need a nap!!!
Precious moments! I love it! p.s. You should hear Delia pray for your twins in her little high pitched voice. It's precious.
It great to see you all home! It sounds like you've been through a lot with them- they are adorable though! Continued thoughts and prayers for you guys on the next step! PS- Charlie had an umbilical hernia too but it would randomly pop in and out- one day it just stayed in.
Sara and Jason,
Congrats on having all the boys together under one roof! And Large Marge has her charms. We all have one or two pix tucked away in a box that make us look like that. Give all the boys lots of kisses from the Wiggins family.
I am so glad your little boys came home. I kept checking and hoping it would be soon! HURRAY!!!
congrats on having your whole family together!! thats so exciting!!! i'm very happy for you!
Hi Sara! It's Ashley Young! I found your blog from Jenn Crandall's blog. Congratulations on your twin boys. That is so exciting that you were able to bring them home and can be a family. I would love to come and visit sometime, are you still just on the other side of Linsday from my house?
Love ya and I can hardly wait to hear all about the adventures with your two new little boys! How cute!
We're so glad that the twins are home safe! They are so cute and I want to hold them right now! And I want to play with Oakley. Cute big brother. You guys amaze me! Hang in there, you're doing awesome!

all the boys together...LOVE! so happy for you & your all-under-one-roofness.
i've said it before & i'll say it again: they are so sweet/precious.
congratulations, family o' five!
YEAH! I am so glad you have your babies home. They look so good and cute.
p.s. Large Marge scared me as a kid and still scares me now, I had to scroll really fast past her.
Sara you are so funny! I am so glad that they are both finally home! How fun. How is it going? Are you getting any sleep? Good luck with everything.
Sara,
Really you are so randomly funny! I am so happy to see that your family is doing well and your all home together.
So, my daughter Taylor is missing the toenail on one of her toes and whenever anyone askes her about it she tells them she lost it in the war, or she was in a car wreck. I think she wants people to notice it so she can make up a new tragedy.
