Viva Sabado!

Reasons why it is my favorite day of the week:
#1:
If you live in Mesa, you have to try 19th Hole's doughnut holes. They are to die for. But, you must get there before us, because we swoop up 3 dozen every Saturday. They are crisp on the outside and so soft and chewy on the inside, perfectly coated in glaze. I look forward to doughnut holes more than I look forward to sleeping in. Saturday is interchangeable in our house with Doughnut Day.
#2:
Bike rides with the family, made possible with the bike bus. We have still gone throughout the blistering summer, but cannot wait for few more weeks for the temperature to be a little nicer. My favorite thing about the bike bus is Nate's participation. He is the biggest scaredy-cat in the world of anything that moves or that he doesn't have control over. A few weeks ago I put him in the front (traditionally Reese's seat) and he was trying to climb up my arms like a cat. I showed him the bell, he rung it, and has claimed the seat as his, with his smug smile.

Only 6 more days! (But maybe tomorrow is an unofficial Doughnut Day due to it being a holiday, right?)

I've gotta get me one of those--the donuts and the bike.

We went there once for FHE and the lady was so "put-out" that we would come in with all those kids and actually expect to buy doughnuts. It was a bad experience and we never went back. Glad you enjoy them, though!

After tasting them last week, they are a compelling reason to move to Mesa. Yum!
