I don't think I ever collected anything, my attention span and lack of patience didn't help me hone the collecting skill. For this reason, I'm thinking Oakley must be her boy. He has collections of she-shelves (sea shells,) dinosaur bones (dried paint clumps,) and most recently, locust skins.
Anyone know where I can pick up a sticker book?

Ahhhh!!! Doesn't that remind you of summers growing up? Pulling the locust skins off the ash tree and trying to put them in each other's hair? Or having them grip onto your finger? What a kid. Oakley is amazing!

HA HA!!! i love the locust collection! that is awesome!
is he in kindergarten? Eli is not. If he is home, we need to get them together to collect bugs and dino bones - Eli would love that! (i am not just saying this either, i really mean it, is he home, can we have a play date?)
I personally think this is a great way to do science and math all at the same time. It also gives him a sense of responsibility in taking care of something so important. I love his locus skill collection, and see that he has added 4 since I last saw it. Good work Oakley!
Apparently it doesn't help with the spelling though. I know how to spell locust. I just wanted to cuss on the down low. Weird, right? Sorry!
