1.) Can you believe how thoughtful Crisco is? I almost jumped for joy when I saw this at the store, and then it was on sale for less than the store brand! This JUG of oil is designed fabric softener style with an easy pour spout and the lid is a measuring cup! What a fantastic idea! Now, I don't have to dirty another measuring cup! (When I'm cooking all the time with lots of ingredients...)
2.) My kid does have enough hair to get bed head! It was amazing, him faking like he was sleeping enough to get this crazy MOP! Oh, and he makes hideous faces. (Apparently I unknowingly play the ugly face game?)
3.) I won. After 30 minutes followed by another 45 minutes of SCREAMING, Oakley did, finally, go to sleep. And I got a fabulous shower and shaved my legs and have a spotless kitchen. I can ignore a baby. We'll see how that goes tonight. (Maybe my friend Ben (adryl) will need to spend the night.)4.) Harry Potter movie comes out tonight! I'm probably not going to see it because it is so much better in my head, but I still love all the hype! It's so exciting!
(and I want this shirt)On a not day maker note... Ginormous has made it into Webster's dictionary as of today. I hate the word, but will no longer be totally annoyed when any of you say it.

That shirt is hot. I need it. Don't worry I just woke up from Harry Potter today. The movie was okay but some of the characters were just unsatisfactory. Anyways where did you get that crisco bottle? It is amazing. But I was a little let down because at first I thought you were talking about vegetable shortening crisco . They really need to make a new bottle that dispense that better. My hands get so gross when I use it and like no soap can help it. Oh and congrats on leaving Oakley to cry. It will pay off in the end. (I act like I have experience) I just know that Amanda did it and her kids go to bed really well at like 8pm every night. It's impressive. Sorry this comment is like 4 years long. The end.
Oh and in case you don't know I always reference Amanda's mothering skills because I don't have any and she kind of rocks it.
Whoa, maybe you and Reid have ESPN or something. Because he mentioned this morning that ginormous made it into the dictionary too. (I am glad you have seen Mean Girls now and can appreciate the ESPN reference. If not, please watch it five thousand more times so you can quote things like "Just because I have a wide set vagina and a heavy flow" and "I have a big fat lesbian crush on her" at all opportune moments.)
On other notes, I need to know where that HP shirt can be purchased because maybe I need one. And it looks freakishly long, maybe one of the skinny Mel Jones's can wear it as a dress with a belt?!
Your Blog makes me happy. I love that you think to write about the simple joys of everyday life. I love the crisco bottle I need to go and get one, because after you use the other kind and you make a mess you can never really get it clean and then the next time you use it its all sticky and gross. Anyways you are awsome.
Yahoo for the new Crisco bottle! I'll have to get one and transfer the keg of Crisco I got from Costco into it in small increments. Every time I use it now I get waves of oil spilling out all over the counter because you can't possibly pour something in a huge Costco container like that into a small measuring cup. I like that the lid is a measuring cup too, because my measuring cups usually end up outside in the dirt, or in the bathtub. I'm glad that Oakley finally went to sleep! Hint: invest in some really great ear plugs (or flugs like Marissa used to say). I don't know that I could ignore him though, because he is so stinkin' cute!!
BTW, I like the word ginormous, in fact I called and voted to have it included in the dictionary.
That bottle of oil is awesome! I hate when I have to get a whole glass measuring cup dirty with oil. Glad you got so much done today! I'm still working on last night's dishes. (hmmm, maybe I should get off the computer???)
Hey there! So I just had to ask Alex how to log on and he helped me. That shows how computer illiterate I am. Maybe that will get you to give me some slack for not making a blog yet. I just go blog surfing for now, and thats all the time I have.
But I do have to ask, what the heck do you use all that crisco in? I didn't even know Crisco made oil. I thought it was only a solid messy tub. Do you use it in replace of the tub stuff? Do you use it in more than cookies? I need to know all your cooking secrets, so please tell!

Sara I have the Crisco bottle and I have LOVED it. Even when it isn't on sale I buy it...it just makes sense :) I love your everyday joys! Your blog always makes me laugh. Amazing that ginormous is officially a real word. Goes to show that the English language is ever changing. I wonder what the next word will be that they will let into the club.
ignoring the babe is the way to go. i am also very good at that. i was @ bashas yesterday and almost bought that lovely bottle of crisco, per your recommendation...but i just bought a smaller bottle last week. boo. maybe i should bake something today...

I just have to say how much I enjoy reading your blog. You seriously crack me up! I am a bit behind but Happy Birthday to you Oakley!! You are a freaking cutie pie! Good work momma on letting him cry. You are stronger than I am. I wanted Elias to cry too but I wasnt strong enough so I made Jared sleep in the room next to him so he could deal with it while I locked myself in my room so I didnt have to hear it. But man it worked like a charm and now he sleeps through the night and goes down good for naps by himself.
YEA, another Harry Potter fan! I love that shirt, I will have to order it. and i love the crisco too, they are thoughtful. your posts are quite amuzing and i keep checking in just to see what you are talking about.
