Ta-Da!

Reesetiny hands
hanging out
(his tongue is always hanging out, it's hilarious)

Nate
size in comparison to Jason's hand
He sleeps like Jason and Oakley, with his arms up over his head.
He keeps his tongue in his mouth, but he drools like crazy.

We're doing well. Nate is loving life. He's healthy and tiny. Reese has some vascular problems which have led to a blood clot in his leg and hole in his bowels, and is keeping us busy. We have been blessed with the BEST neo-natologists, Dr. Waterkotte and Dr. Hamburg, I think they are amazing!

C-sections are the way to go, as well as shower chairs, Rasin Bran and Percocet. Thanks everyone for your calls, emails and concern. Unfortunately, it will be a while before anyone's allowed to see the babies in the NICU - thanks to RSV season. Sorry.

Just wanted to share these guys with you.

Love,
Sara

Seriously so adorable and tiny!!! I love how even when babies are brand new they already have some of our traits! (sleeping habits!) I guess I better watch out to make sure there are only good habits to glean from me!
Congrats! We are praying for you guys!

This brings back memories of the triplets in the NICU. My heart is with you during this time and I wish you all the best in the road ahead.
Also, I think you're great that you can still be funny even when things are serious!

they are so sweet! I think about you guys every day. Ditto to allie cat's comment, I love your attitude. you are such an amazing person, in spite of your crazy busy week you still take the time to worry about elias and how we are doing. I love that they are only a few days old and already have different personalities (sticking the tongue out, sleeping with hands over head, etc).

Wow, We've been thinking about you and the babies, and can't wait ( in good time) to bring you a fantastic costa vida salad or chimichanga if you still need it.

Yeah Sara! So fun to see pics of these babies! So little! Does Jason have giant man hands or are they really that small? So cute! Amy wants them btw. How are you doing Sara? I hope you are getting a little rest and a BIG chimichanga! You guys are awesome! We wish we could be there!

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS! Paul has been keeping us posted and Charlie prays for "the twins" in every prayer.

Oh Sara-they are so beautiful! It brings back so many bittersweet memories to see pictures like that. I hope they continue to do well. Dr. Waterkotte filled in a couple of days at our hospital and took care of our babies and he was amazing!! He is super smart and knows what he is talking about. And he was so kind, he talked to us and answered all our questions even though he was only there filling in.
I am so glad you posted, I wonder everyday how your family is doing. Good luck!

Thanks for posting and putting up those sweet pictures. You really are amazing. What sweet boys. We will keep praying for their continued health.

I thought Melissa was exaggerating a little when she said their biceps were the size of her pinky. But that's probably pretty accurate! These little guys are so cute and little! We continually pray for all of you, especially Reece and his vascular issues. Glad you're enjoying the shower chair and the Percocet. If you get tired of Raisin Bran, you could just eat your Percocet pills out of a bowl with some milk like cereal. I hear that's even more effective!

Congrats! They are super sweet. On top of all that I bet they have the funnest personalities out there since they are your offspring!

P.S. Do NOT invest in the Ped-Egg. My husband bought one (he said it was for me but secretly he wanted it for himself...he really wants a Sham-Wow too if that says anything about him). Anyhow, the ped egg does not work well at all! Better to buy some really rough sand paper and use that instead!

I can't wait to see more pictures of the boys!

Awesome blog! Jason is right, you're really funny! Oakley is a cutie, and I bet he'll make an awesome big brother! :)

Enjoy the NICU - and use their resources. Trust me there will be a day when you wish you could lock them back up in the incubator. FYI - the one thing I wished I would have done is taken my baby's pic with a dollar bill each week to show her growth. Sears has the best preemie clothes as well as babies r us!!

CONGRATS!!!!

Please excuse my oddness... but I thought you might enjoy this tidbit.
I had a dream a couple nights ago that I came to visit you and the babes at the hospital, and I was trying to have you pose the babies in some Anne Geddes-esque poses, in baskets and bowls and such. Finally, you just confessed that you don't care much for Anne Geddes and asked me to please stop with the photo shoot already. Don't worry, I wasn't offended.

Congratulations!!!!!! Such small wonders. I just left a the NICU where I am doing my final rotation of nursing school. I don't know that I will ever get over how resilient these little blessings can be.

Love you guys,
